Boston Celtics Spread Holiday Cheer with Party for Patients from Boston Medical Center

Postal Employees, Dick’s Last Resort and a host of others
are joined together to give 100 special children from the
Boston Medical Center’s Pediatric Hematology Program their
best Christmas ever.
The 13th annual event took place at Dick’s Last Resort, Quincy Market at Faneuil Hall Marketplace, on Tuesday, December 11, from 2 PM to 4 PM. The following members of the Boston Celtics helped spread holiday cheer with the children at Dick’s: Captain Paul Pierce, Scot Pollard, Leon Powe, James Posey, Rajon Rondo and Brian Scalabrine along with Team President Rich Gotham, Head Coach Doc Rivers and Coach Clifford Ray. In the true spirit of Christmas, Santa himself dropped by to make sure each child received special gifts and toys donated by Hasbro Inc. and The Boston Celtics. Mikey Adams from "The Planet Mikey" Show helped host the day’s festivities. The children attending this private party at Dick’s Last Resort were patients of the Pediatric Hematology Program (serving children with Sickle Cell Anemia) at the Boston Medical Center and ranged in age from 3 to 17 years old. |
